Hi Darrel
I thought that Quicktime had stopped supporting Flash files. We discovered this after we had updated our Quicktime but could no longer play back KidPix movies. We had to revert to an older version of Quicktime. There seems to be a "magic" version that is compatible with most applications.

I'd be interested to know if you think this is the problem.
PS Thanks for the pods EdTechCrew and ICT Guy. I enjoy listening to them on my way to work.

Hi Camilla,
Yes, I did upgrade but I haven't had any luck with the quicktime/flash bug. Hopefully furture updates may fix it. In the meantime I have been using VLC and zamar.com among others.
Cheers

Hi Darrel
Great podcast as usual. Regarding your problem with the mp4 playing on Quicktime with no sound. A friend of mine recently had the same problem and found it was corrected by upgrading the version of Quicktime. I'm assuming you've tried all that but it worked for her so I thought it worth suggesting to you. Cheers Camilla
