Welcome back! So great to hear your voices. For a moment, my students thought it was funny that 40 degrees was considered hot. Then you reminded us it was Celsius…over 100 degree Fahrenheit. Wow!

The issuu link was brought to my attention by an educator named Kern Kelley. He is a wealth of Web 2.0 info. When I saw what his students had accomplished with issuu, I was sold. Check out a sample project his student did: http://tinyurl.com/kkissuu

His blog is worth checking out too: http://thetechcurve.blogspot.com/

Take care and thanks.

Welcome back. Hope you had a gr8 break!

After hearing the news that NWS Ed Dept. went to Gmail for students etc. I came across an interesting Email that convinced me of the real reason why they did it. $$$.

Check out this article

but how many students are their on Gmail? > 15000

Hi Wayne,

The $$$ is always the main motivator – we spoke last year about the savings. I guess the advantage that Google has is the ability to scale to such a large size. It will be interesting to see what usage happens and if students and teachers take to it. How is the Territory – will be up in a couple of weeks – we should catch up.
